ABSNa 50 - Sodium Dodecylbenzene Sulfonate - 68411-30-3 is an anionic surfactant which is the sodium salt of alkylbenzenesulfonic acid. The commercial product is present in a 50% concentration of the active substance. It has the form of a concentrated, liquid paste with a tendency to delamination, which, however, does not affect the properties of the product. The color of ABSNa 50 is given in accordance with the iodine scale and for a 15% solution of the product in terms of the active substance it is a maximum of 3.

ABSNa 50 is the basic ingredient of liquid and powder washing detergents. It exhibits excellent wetting, washing, cleaning, as well as emulsifying and dispersing properties. The product is also characterized by the ability to create high and stable foams, which is particularly important in the production of products intended for industrial applications requiring high foaming.

Thanks to the wide range of functions, ABSNa 50 is the basic ingredient of powder detergents, liquids and washing gels. It is used as a raw material for the production of laundry detergents dedicated to the industrial washing and cleaning industry, as well as washing preparations for household use. Compared to sulphated alcohols, ABSNa 50 shows good resistance to hydrolysis in an alkaline environment. This feature determines its use in the production of strongly alkaline washing and washing detergents dedicated to professional use.

An additional advantage of the product is its synergistic effect in the washing process with non-ionic surfactants such as, for example, ROKAnol L7 and ROKAnol L7A. The product can also be mixed with other ingredients of washing detergents, which include: sodium carbonate, pyrophosphate, enzymes and fillers.

ABSNa 50 - Sodium Dodecylbenzene Sulfonate - 68411-30-3 is a substance with very good degreasing properties, which makes it successfully used for degreasing and washing raw leather in the tanning industry. In addition, ABSNa 50 works well as an emulsifier in the production of styrene-acrylic dispersions, styrene-butadiene latexes, acrylic dispersions and vinyl acetate homo- and copolymers.

In the textile industry, ABSNa 50 is perfect for removing dyes from the dye bath. It is also a component of admixtures and air-entraining additives for concrete and cement mortars. It has the ability to activate alumina during the production of cellular concrete.

ABSNa 50 is a product that undergoes anaerobic biodegradation and thus is also compliant with the criteria of the Directive on detergents and cosmetics No. 648/2004.
