POLIkol 6000PF pharmaceutical quality 1000 kg belongs to the group of polyoxyethylene glycols. Used in many pharmaceutical applications. One of them is giving the appropriate form to drugs in the process of creating capsules or microcapsules, where it is used as a plasticizer for film-forming polymers. Description Properties
POLIkol 6000PF is a product that meets the stringent quality requirements set out in the latest edition of the European Pharmacopoeia, thanks to which it can be classified into the macrogol group. The commercial product is a white to light yellow wax with a low odor and a congealing point of approximately 53°C.

POLIkole in solid form are used as a base for suppositories and pessaries. PEGs are commonly used in this application because many active substances are easily soluble in them, which improves their bioavailability. The high stability of the final formulation and ease of storage also speak in favor of using PEGs in a solid form. Thanks to the high freezing point of PEG, it does not require cold storage. The hardness of the base can be set by a suitable blend of two solid polyethylene glycols. The combination of POLIkol 6000PF with PEG4000 in the right proportion allows you to obtain a stable hard base for the pessary.

In addition, very good lubricating properties of POLIkol 6000PF are used in soluble tablets and eye drops.

POLIkol 6000PF of pharmaceutical quality is also used in democosmetics as a solubilizer, lubricant and dispersant. In this application, it acts as a base for creams, toothpaste or lipsticks.
