Rodys C is a sodium salt of polycondensate of naphthalenic acids with formaldehyde with the so-called medium degree of condensation. It is supplied in the form of a 40% aqueous solution and brown in color. The technology of its production allows to obtain a product containing trace amounts of free formaldehyde and free naphthalene. Thanks to this, it does not have an environmental classification and does not affect the content of free aromatic hydrocarbons in the products for which it is used.

Rodys C is a dispersant composed of an organic chain with hydrophobic properties and a hydrophilic inorganic sulfone group. This structure allows it to absorb on particles of solids and create a layer of identical electric charges on them (sulfone groups). These charges repel each other, leading to the disintegration of particle agglomerates. Thanks to this, it is possible to produce colloidal systems and non-coagulating suspensions of solids in a continuous liquid phase (water).

Rodys C enables the formation of a dispersion that is stable over time, which is manifested in a very low tendency to re-aggregate particles and constant dynamic viscosity of the system over time. The obtained water dispersions are characterized by the appropriate size of dispersed particles and viscosities enabling their pumpability.

The product works particularly well as a dispersant of agrochemicals and in the textile and tanning industries. It can be used in various types of colloidal systems or stable aqueous suspensions. Due to the complexity of the dispersion formation process and the variety of their characteristic parameters, it is recommended to test the product in laboratory conditions.
