About product

Rokopol® iPol is a polymer dispersion in a reactive polyether polyol. The product is a special polyol intended for the production of high-quality "HR" high-resistance foams and flame-retardant CMHR foams. Rokopol® iPol significantly increases the hardness of the material without the need to use styrene-acrylonitrile polyols (SAN), which significantly reduces the content of volatile substances (VOC) with significantly improved fire resistance. Rokopol® iPol enables the production of foams with a wide range of densities and different levels of hardness. It can also be used for the production of CME type foams in order to obtain high resilience with a reduced content of flame retardant additives.

Delivery time up to 14 working days.

Rokopol iPol is a polymer dispersion in a white reactive polyether polyol. This type of polyol has a relatively low emission, viscosity and low hydroxyl number, with a solids content of 10%. The product is a special polyol intended for the production of high-quality "HR" high-resistance foams and flame-retardant CMHR foams. This type of foam is characterized by reduced emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) and better, long-term physical and mechanical properties compared to commonly available HR solutions. The product also allows the production of a full range of densities of highly resilient and flame retardant foams using only liquid flame retardants (without melamine).

Rokopol iPol is used to produce e.g. flexible foams, which are the basis for the production of HR mattresses and upholstery with high resilience used in the furniture industry. Using this polyol, molded foams are also produced, which are used in seats in the automotive industry (automotive industry).

The main application advantages of the product:

  • solids content (10%),
  • the possibility of producing HR foams in a wide range of densities (from 25 to 60 kg/m3),
  • the possibility of producing HR and CMHR foams in the hardness range from 1.5 to 3.5 kPa, depending on the density of the foam,
  • the possibility of producing flame retardant foams (CMHR) with a reduced content of flame retardants (thanks to a different type of solids, without styrene-acrylonitrile).

Mechanical properties of foams made with Rokopol iPol:

  • impressive comfort factor SAG factor (up to 3.3 - comparable to latex mattresses) and 20-30% higher compared to foams made on the basis of traditional HR technologies,
  • very high foam resilience of 60-70%, compared to standard HR solutions, which have a resilience of 50-60%,
  • the possibility of obtaining CMHR foam that meets the flammability criteria of CAL TB 133, BS5852 and CRIB 5, produced only with the use of a liquid flame retardant without the need to use melamine, which deteriorates the mechanical properties of the foam,
  • up to 75% lower emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC) compared to SAN type polyols: no monomeric styrene, no monomeric acrylonitrile;
  • high mechanical strength of the obtained foam over time: negligible loss of hardness, density and resilience over time, compared to available HR technologies.

Thanks to the above properties, the use of Rokopol iPol allows you to increase production efficiency. This efficiency manifests itself through:

  • rectangular shape of the foam block - less production waste,
  • no dispersion of density and hardness in the foam block,
  • good initial strength allowing the foam block to be handled immediately after foaming.

Properties and applications:

  • production of high-quality high-resistance "HR" foams and flame-retardant CMHR foams;
  • production of flexible foams, which are the basis for the production of HR mattresses and upholstery with high resilience used in the furniture industry;
  • production of molded foams that are used in seats in the automotive industry (automotive industry);
