Rodys R is a aqueous solution of sodium salt of naphthalene sulfonic acid formaldehyde (NSF) polycondensates with a dry substance content of 40%. It is a dispersant designed for emulsion polymerization of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). Rodys R forms a stable dispersion of latex particles, preventing coagulation during polymerization and degasification. It does not affect the properties or reaction rate of the rubber. Rodys R can also be used in emulsion polymerization of other rubbers and aqueous suspensions.
