ROSULfan L - Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is one of the basic anionic surfactants from the group of alkyl sulfates, INCI name: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It is characterized by excellent washing and cleaning, wetting, foaming and emulsifying properties. An undoubted advantage of ROSULfan L is the ability to create high and stable foams. The product shows high microbiological purity due to the content of the MIT / CIT preservative. At 30°C it is in the form of a clear liquid that may take on a light yellow color. It crystallizes at low temperatures. Heated to 40°C, it becomes liquid again, retaining all its properties. The commercial product is in the form of a solution containing from 27.5% to 30.0% of the active substance.

ROSULfan L is a surfactant with limited resistance to hard water. Due to this feature, it is often combined with other anionic surfactants, such as SULFOROKAnols. It also works perfectly in mixtures with other anionic surfactants, as well as with non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants and with various other additives and formulation fillers.

Thanks to its surface activity and numerous functions, ROSULfan L is a very popular ingredient in many different types of washing and cleaning cosmetics and detergents. It is used in the production of powder and liquid cleaning and washing formulations, as well as a component of preparations from the group of personal hygiene products. High foaming abilities predispose ROSULfan L to be used also as a basic component for the production of car cosmetics that require the formation of high foams and very good detergent properties.

ROSULfan L is also one of the anionic surfactants used in emulsion polymerization processes as an excellent dispersion stabilizer. The product is also widely used in the food industry. Here it is used as an indirect food additive, according to the lists of chemical substances published by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and the BfR (Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung). It is important to use ROSULfan L in accordance with the definitions provided by both organizations. This applies primarily to the use of strictly defined doses of the substance.
