Butylated hydroxytoluene - BHT antioxidant is an anti-aging preparation belonging to the group of synthetic antioxidants used in the food and chemical industries. The BHT antioxidant is industrially used in the plastics industry. It is used as a process antioxidant, which blocks the formation of free radicals in the oxidation of polymers. It is also used in the production of thermoplastics and latex. In the rubber industry, it is used for the production of rubber, it prevents the rapid wear of rubber materials.
