Description Properties Safety precautions

ROKAnol ID5 is a compound from the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols belonging to the group of non-ionic surfactants. The commercial product is in a concentrated form, where the content of the active substance is about 100%.

The product takes the form of a light, clear to slightly turbid liquid that solidifies at about 3°C. Its cloud point in butyldiglycol/water solution is relatively high and oscillates between 66÷69°C

ROKAnol ID5 is characterized by a slight solubility in water, with which it forms cloudy solutions. On the other hand, the product shows considerable surface activity, thanks to which it works perfectly both in water and in solutions of other liquids. It interacts very well with anionic, cationic and other non-ionic surfactants.

The surfactant is one of the products belonging to the ROKAnol® ID series, manufactured on the basis of isodecyl alcohol. ROKAnol ID is characterized by very good detergent properties. They also exhibit dispersing properties, which predispose them to be used as ingredients in cleaning preparations dedicated to specialized industrial applications, as well as for use in home conditions.

A characteristic feature of the product is the ability to create unstable foams. It has very good wetting, washing, cleaning, emulsifying and dispersing properties. It reacts very well in the presence of small amounts of salts and bases. In addition, it is resistant to acidic environments and hard water.

All properties and application functions of ROKAnol ID5 predispose the product to be used as an ingredient in formulations based on ingredients with an acid reaction. The surfactant works very well as a component of disinfectants, preparations containing solvents, as well as a component of detergents for home and professional use.

Thanks to very good wettability, ROKAnol ID5 is used in the agrochemical industry, especially in EC, EW, SC, SE formulations.

The product is biodegradable and complies with the criteria of the European Detergents Directive.
