Hydrogen peroxide - is obtained by oxidation using the anthraquinone method. It is available in concentrations of 35% and 50%. It is a syrupy, colorless liquid with a strong oxidizing effect. It is used as an oxidant in the synthesis of peroxides. Due to its bleaching properties, hydrogen peroxide is used in industries such as the pulp and paper industry. In the rubber industry, hydrogen peroxide is used as a production ingredient. In the textile industry, it is used in the bleaching of natural and synthetic fibers. In household chemicals, hydrogen peroxide is used as a bleaching agent and as a component of cleaning and bleaching preparations. In much smaller quantities, it is used in toothpastes and deodorants. Hydrogen peroxide plays an important role in the treatment of industrial wastewater through chemical oxidation. In environmental protection processes, it is used to neutralize wastewater. Water treatment with hydrogen peroxide is carried out using the Fenton reaction.
