About product

Concentrated sulfuric acid 92-98.6% - one of the strongest acids and at the same time the basic raw material used in the chemical industry. It is an intermediate in the manufacture of inorganic and organic chemicals. It acts as a catalyst, a dehydrating agent (perfectly absorbs moisture), and a pH regulator. Information about other defined uses can also be found in the application section. Sulfuric acid is a dangerous substance, special precautions should be taken when using it.

ATTENTION! Explosives and/or drug precursor.

Sulfuric(VI) acid (H2SO4) - the basic raw material in the production of many chemical compounds. Most often it occurs in the form of an aqueous solution of a certain concentration. Chemists call it the blood of the chemical industry because it has a wide range of applications and is used in many chemical processes. As a catalyst for chemical reactions, the dehydrating agent (desiccant, highly hygroscopic) perfectly absorbs moisture. In the production of fertilizers, extraction processes, processing of minerals and ores. For metal surface treatment, cleaning and pickling, e.g. in the electroplating industry. In the processes of gas treatment, its purification (e.g. exhaust gas purification), rinsing, drying or absorption. Commonly used as an electrolyte in car batteries. In the production of dyes, in particular titanium white. Due to its properties, it is used in many organic synthesis reactions, e.g. nitration, sulfonation reactions. This raw material is also used for the production of fertilizers and sulphated salts. Also used for washing agents, pharmaceutical preparations and laboratory reagents.

Specific use of sulfuric acid (VI) production of: phosphoric acid, chlorine gas, paper, flocculants, bentonite, silica, lead concentrate, lead glass, resins, hydrogen cyanide, nitrobenzene, for wastewater treatment and neutralization.

The most important industries where sulfuric acid is used in large quantities:
• chemical industry (production of plastics and other inorganic acids)
• petrochemical industry (refining of oils, kerosene, paraffin)
• dyes industry (e.g. production of titanium white)
• mining and metallurgical industry (for extraction and processing of minerals, ores)
• textile industry (production of synthetic fibers)
