Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) - a basic raw material in the production of many chemical compounds. It is most often found in the form of an aqueous solution at a specific concentration.

Applications of sulfuric acid:

- as an intermediate in the production of organic and inorganic chemicals, including fertilizers,

- as a process aid – catalyst, dehydrating agent, pH regulator,

- in the extraction and processing of mineral ores,

- in surface treatment, purification, etching, and electrolytic processes,

- in gas purification, flue gas scrubbing, and desulfurization,

- in the production of batteries containing sulfuric acid,

- as an industrial cleaning agent,

- as a laboratory reagent,

- as a drain unblocker.
